Wilder names two impressive Irons

|

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has made a point of naming two “quality” Hammers following his outfit’s 3-0 defeat at the London Stadium

Wilder admitted that Jesse Lingard and Jarrod Bowen are two top players who made a big impact in the match against the Blades..

Sheffield United had a considerable amount of possession but had nothing like the efficiency of the Irons in the goalmouth as we rose to fifth place with goals from Rice, Diop and Fredericks.

Declan’s  penalty came as a result of a fabulous run from the Lingard who caused problems all night long.

And afterwards it came as absolutely no surprise when the Bramall Lane boss made a point of naming him and Bowen as two of those behind their downfall.

The Blades look down and out after last night as the Irons continue to show outstanding form despite having such a small squad available,

Wilder said:“You have to have that structure and (West Ham) will have that because of the quality that they have – it’s in to Lingard, it’s in Bowen – they have that quality.”

“In our position, you can’t make it easy for the opposition. We gift-wrapped two goals and the first one, the timing of it with half-time, we were well in the game up to that moment.

“We had to play quicker and be better in possession but after a poor start we got a foothold in the game – but the manner of the goals are really poor.”
