West Ham have released their 2022/23 home kit ahead of next season on the club’s official website.
The Hammers have launched their new shirt as they look to repeat last season’s successes, as the Irons finished seventh and reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.
The club’s official website claims that the new kit is designed for massive moments, hopefully with the Irons able to again challenge for a top-six finish and progress in the Europa Conference League.
A number of models from the current squad were picked out, with Pablo Fornals, Said Benrahma, Jarrod Bowen, and Ben Johnson all pictured in the kit.
The Hammers have also brought in the likes of James Collins and Carlton Cole to wear the shirt and show off just how it looks.
The kit, of course, is a claret and blue number with some white frills on the shoulders, and is taking inspiration from Billy Bonds’ promotion-winning team of 30 years ago.
After having a few good years of great Kit’s from Umbro and especially last years kit which I believe was one of the best of all time. This new kit is crap. Looks more like a Burnley shirt. The original which it is copying was crap to start with, so what do you expect. Very disappointing. Instead of always going Retro, was time for a new modern design.
It doesn’t look quite so bad on as I thought it might. Hope the short are white not those claret ones. With Ginge and Carlton already wearing next season’s kit, does this mean our search for a centre-back and a striker is officially over?

Very responsible video launch NOT…let’s encourage kids to go out with a spray can and tag or graffiti their neighbourhood!!
That said I’m sure the players shown also thought they could vastly improve these awful shirts by spraying them. Afterall, whoever designed them was using some duff felt tip pens which had clearly dried up by the time they added the shoulder detail. Really…is this the best Umbro could do? “Massive moments”? Massive letdown more like!
OMG what were they thinking? Please don’t tell me they paid someone to design this.
