Snodgrass attracts new interest

|

snoddy5Aston Villa are set to have major rivals in Sunderland for Robert Snodgrass.

The Scot has no West Ham future and Black Cats boss  Simon Grayson has revealed his interest in the former Hull midfielder.

Snodgrass,29, has been told he can leave th London Stadium after arriving in January and asked if he could be interested in th midfielder Grayson said:  ‘When people like him become available you would be foolish not to consider it.”

Grayson and Snodgrass worked together at Leeds and now Grayson will need to do the sums to see if the pair can be reunited.

The Irons have interest from Vila on the basis of a wage sharing loan deal but real interest from Sunderland would see te Black Cats jump into pole position.

Grayson warned however: “‘Again, that would be a deal dictated by finances. Can we do it? Who knows, but we might ask the question.’

Sums up how good he’s been when only the might of Villa and Sunderland are after him 😆😆

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

They probably want to guarantee relegation for next season whoever gets him wins.

My sources tell me (I’m in full ‘Jim White’ mode until the end of the Transfer Window!) that Villa want West Ham to contribute ‘significantly’ to his wages!

Personally, I reckon they’ll have to do the same as happened with Valencia and virtually give him away and take the loss – but then again what do I know?

    Who’s had my yellow tie?

  • master says:

Why did we play him so much in preseason if he was gonna be out the door? Does the left hand know what the right is doing?

    • GW says:

Shop window mate, unfortunately Snodgrass didn’t read the script and his performances were more Poundland than Harrods 😆😆😆

  • JRS says:

Newcastle are roumourrd to be keen on him as well and Leeds. And he is a great championship player. Unfortunately he was playd out of position when came here and didn’t work out. January signings don’t so unless have too. But did play RW in preseason not well tho. But scored over 50 goals for Leeds.
I am wonder why we didn’t put him up for sale earlier before all these clubs spent most of their budgets. Leeds could afford Sunderland never had a Kitty.
