A new striker on a free?

A new striker on a free?

It has been reported that West Ham might try to sign a free agent striker after failing to add a forward to our ranks in the recentĀ  summer transfer window.

Despite the signings of Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Mohammed Kudus , we still were unable to get a new striker before the transfer window shut.

On top of all the chatter surrounding Jesse Lingard as to whether he would be offered a contract, there is a suggestion that our Supremo wants to bring a free agent striker to the London Stadium.

But who exactly?

The strikers who could be available are not exactly headline material. We have the likes of Santi Mina, Moussa Marega and Andre Gray floating aroundĀ  – hardly players that would cause opposition defenders sleepless nights !

I think Moyes will wait until the January window and get a new striker then, although it will be interesting to see how this Lingard situation works out

    Watching this space with anticipation.
Time to give Divin a few minutes he looks a real prospect.
While we’re talking strikers I see Scamacca got off to a great start with Atalanta, two goals and one disallowed for offside. Reminiscent of Haler who scored for fun once he moved on. Is that telling us something?
