Bilic sends a ‘no fear’ message

|

slaven-bilic-klopp-u-da-yikti-gecti-1451752420Slaven Bilic is preaching a “no fear” message as the team goes into its final game of the season at London Stadium.

The manager said: “We showed against Tottenham nine days ago that we can live with the top teams. We showed character, we showed determination, we showed team spirit, everything. Most of all, we showed the quality to beat a big team. There is no fear.

We also proved to ourselves again that we can defend with organisation and determination and we can attack and create chances against the best.

Our four clean sheets in the last five matches and our performances against Swansea, Everton and Tottenham, in particular, have given us confidence in what we are doing. Confidence we will take into today’s game.

Today, we will face another team, like Tottenham, with big motivation. Liverpool have had a good season, but they know they need a victory to keep their destiny in their own hands when it comes to a UEFA Champions League place.

We are motivated too, though, of course, for different reasons. We still have a chance of finishing the season in the top ten, and that is what we want to do, so we will be doing everything to end the season with two victories.”

What was Fonte doing for that goal we conceded, another one from a poor defensive mistake, Fonte keeps losing his markers at set plays also, bring on Ogbonna for the second half and put Collins on the right, Cressie looks ok going forward but he is not as good defensively as Masuaku, Liverpool are exploiting that and once again our intensity isn’t high enough and we aren’t pressing high enough, Callieri is giving his all and Fernandes has been decent as has Lanzini but to me it looks like the other players have taken their foot off the gas. Hopefully second half will be better COYI !!!

What a load of rubbish that was with another cheating ref thrown in…

4 goals conceded all of them atrocious defending, no pressure, little movement, no one breaking from deep or making runs, wasted chances sums up Bilic in a nutshell just doesn’t send the players out with the required intensity we were asleep at the start of the second half yet again.

That Liverpool side are bang average take Coutinho out and they have nothing but you give any team enough easy opportunities to score and they will take you apart.

It was another example of a team with superior fitness and a pressing game taking us apart, they pressed always in twos and threes won the ball all over the pitch, we moved lazilly back into position, the one player we had really pressing Callieri was taken off when it should have been Ayew and we capitulated because we gave them complete freedom.

That is as disappointing as Tottenham was joyful.

I have no problem with Slav getting another year but this lack of dynamism 9 games out of 10 cannot be allowed to continue, players have to sprint to close players down and to get back into position, Slav changed to a flat back 4 and still played it with wingbacks which time and again cost numerous goals for someone that is undoubtably intelligent he keeps repeating the same mistakes.

Also Cresswell’s defending is really poor hopefully Masuaku will get the game next week and we can finish on the up.

No point in getting optimistic with West Ham . I thought we might get something out of this game but , no . Where was the commitment and fight ?. It was a sad performance .
Obviously Liverpool were well up for it and we weren’t . Crazy .
If Bilic is still our manager next season , would it be a good thing or not ?.
Still having my doubts , sorry folks . We need a Manager that can motivate the players on any given game not , only against Spurs .
That was embarrassing and only showed a determination to go on holidays .
Get the luggage sorted babe , only one game left .
By the way , if nobody noticed , Palace won 4 nil and relegated Hull . The managers name is : ?? . Nuff said . Give Mancini a call now . Let’s get our new season off to a good start .
I seem to keep on giving Bilic the benefit of the doubt but , that now , for me is over .
It’s just not working . And I have doubts if it ever will . If the Board decide to go with Bilic I will have no choice other than to begrudgedly go along . It was our last home game at the LS for crying out loud . Reckon we got away with murder this season and are very lucky to have survived . Three teams marginally worse than us is the only reason we did .

Kevin i dont wish to break up your party but Allardyce left two seasons ago.Is there any chance you can stop mentioning him.It is getting a tad boring old bean lol
T Man has a point why mention his 4-0 win but ignore the 5-0 defeat.

  • Stan The Man says:
