Declan tipped to become nation’s first £150m player

|

Leroy Rosenior has delivered a £150 million verdict on Declan Rice!

The former Hammers hero – who is also the Irons anti racism ambassador for the Stop the Hate campaign was on his way to schools in Barking and Dagenham when talking Claretandhugh about the Irons season in general and Declan in particular.

And he has absolutely no doubts that the 22 year old is on his way to be coming the nation’s most expensive player should the Hammers decide to sell.

And that makes a nonsense of demands from his representatives the Hammers should keep them informed of all offers over £60 million.

Leroy said: “With every game this lad plays his value is increasing. He would take any club in the land to a different level but I still remain hopeful the Hammers can keep him beyond next summer.

“But if they don’t he will surely be going for somewhere close to £150 million. Jack Grealish went for £100 million but Declan is a  more important player to a club – in fact he is one of the most astonishing players I have seen in many years.”

Leroy’s love of the Hammers is all embracing and he believes that Mikey Antonio has been a total revelation.

He said: “What a player up front but probably an even greater bloke. I did some work with him a few weeks ago and when he walked into the room all the lights went on – fantastic fella, fantastic player.

He loves Jarrod Bowen and Aaron Cresswell declaring: “Jarrod is a magnificent athlete and a brilliant buy at £20 million or so while Cress has now reached a level where we can think of him in the same terms as Ben Chillwell.

“Soucek  – despite not regularly scoring goals this season  – has been brilliant and with Declan is the heartbeat of the team.

Zouma has been a fantastic signing and all in all this is as good a Hammers team as I can remember and it for that reason we may just hold on to Declan.”

What David Moyes has done can’t be under stated. The job he is doing in managerial terms is similar to that as Declan does on the field.

The sky really is the limit for this team.

I agree with everything Leroy has said 100%
The comparison of his worth alongside Grealish is pretty much along the same lines as I have felt for a good while. Declan’s worth to ANY top side in this country OR across Europe cannot be understated. When Lampard was in charge of Chelsea, if they were brave enough they could’ve had Declan for £100M. That would’ve been a bargain at the time, instead, they went on to splash the cash on players that have proved to be inferior in terms of the building of a team for the future. None of the top teams in this country wants to pay that sort of money to West Ham as our past reputation as a club, especially when it comes to negotiation was notoriously very poor.
The most amazing thing about Declan is that he is a Very Rare Player indeed, as he has Zero Limitations as his ability and what he is capable of increases exponentially dependant upon the quality of players alongside him. He WILL go on to become England Captain and will probably lift a cup for England. I am NOT looking forward to him leaving West Ham. But I believe he will.

Then we must hope he doesnt leave. If we keep improving why would he ?

I TRULY hope that he doesn’t… I’m an optimist by nature, but as our performances continue to get highlighted by the media, the wolves will naturally start to circle plus he hasn’t signed a new contract yet.
