Claret and Hugh have learned this afternoon that Marko Arnautovic struck a new deal with the club to extend his contract by another twelve months.
We understand the deal – which is thought to include extra financial incentives has a new clause which allows the striker to leave in the Summer transfer window “but only if the club receives a certain transfer offer (thought to be £45m) and by a certain specified date.”
Despite his pledge of loyalty yesterday a senior club insider told Claret and Hugh via email “He’ll go in the Summer if we get a certain transfer fee, by a certain date. We need him badly for the rest of the season. He really wants to go to China as the offer is £295,000 a week after Tax.”
Arnautovic in return has promised to put in maximum effort for the remainder of the season to secure his mega-money move to China. If for whatever reason the price is not met in the summer the striker could potentially remain a West Ham player until June 2023.
I am happy with that arrangement. makes complete business sense. If we can sign Gomez we have a player who can potentially fill the void at no extra cost. Then we sign 2-3 top players in the summer to add to Gomez and we wont miss Arne too much. If he decided to stay in the summer I would be happy too.

I totally agree with this mate if I don’t turn up for work I don’t get paid and if I turn up and don’t put any efforts in I would soon be pulled in the office and told to sort it out or you gone.
Lets apply this to football players cos it’s their jobs after all they get bonuses for scoring or a clean sheet so we could apply deductions for bad football this could save the club lots of money and be put towards buying better ones👍🏻

After watching the game tonight I nearly pick the TV up and lobbed in out the back door.
