Hammers confirm defensive duo interest

|

zabWest Ham have confirmed that they want either Manchester City’s Pablo Zabaleta or Bacary Sagna as their permanent right back signing.

Speculation has been on the go for some time that the Irons are interested in both and it seems likely that Pep Guardiola will reward only one with a new deal at respective ages of 32 or 34.

Now a top source has revealed to ClaretandHugh that either would be at the top of the club’s wanted list for the position should they not be offered or accept new deals.

Sagna is almost certain to be looking for a move back to London after his Arsenal years and Zabaleta too would like the chance of remaining in the Premier League and getting more regular first team football.

And we were told last night that there is a big interest in both players although at this stage only a waiting brief Β can be adopted as no players can be spoken to at this stage.

However, we were assured that once the position on there positions are clear in the summer the Hammrs will be involved in trying to make something happen quickly.

A right back? Wow that’s a novel idea!

  • BigA says:

But for how long a year or 2 at the most, then we go back to the same problem of having no recognized right back. That’s of coarse if they last that long without injury.

Zabaleta would be a good signing a proper right back with a bit of attitude as for Sagna it would be like resigning Rigobert Song πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

WOW Bacary Sagna. If that shows the ambition of the club its no wonder people are hurrying to renew their season tickets.

Do some of you get off on any chance to rubbish the club in all departments.

Zabaletta would be my choice of the two but there aint nothing wrong with Sagna. In the times i have watched him he still looks more than capable.
Still i have come to learn that no matter who we sign they will be wrong for some lol

As usual make all our plans public that should push up the price/wages….

this top source should learn to shut the f**k up but at the same time maybe the questions shouldn’t keep being asked.
why do the club keep telling the world who their main summer targets are? what’s wrong with just saying they are the kind of player we could be interested?. I’m no expert but I would have thought that keeping quiet until the players signs might be a good idea. If we don’t sign either the club are leaving themselves open to criticism from sections of the fans who will start crying that the club are lying again just to sell more season tickets…

Either of them would be ok, Zabaletta is a real leader, Sagna has decent pace, they would both command high wages though so would expect some Chinese money to come in for them also, rumour rating medium πŸ˜‰

You guys get so angry over the term “source”.Every paper quotes “sources” but how many do you believe to be real?
Its madness to get so infuritated about what a “source” says lol
