West Ham reckon they may have a couple of trump cards in their pursuit of striker target Chris Wood.

Although the club has Michy Batshuayi and Kelechi Iheanacho as their main targets the 25 year old came under the closest scrutiny as he grabbed 30 goals in Leeds’ failed pushed for promotion last season.

And he remains very much on the radar after a fantastic Elland Road season which saw him shoot to national prominence.

The 25 year old New Zealander has appeared 48 times for the Winston Reid led Kiwis who could play  role in persuading him to the London Stadium should the Hammers make a serious move.

And with departing managing director Angus Kinnear on his way to Elland Road where the club has good links following the transfer of Sam Byram, the Hammers believe it could be well placed to land the £12 million rated front man.

We get linked with proven premiership players which cost big bucks, get turned off, and go for what we hope will be a good premiership player. All this talk of moving to a big stadium to have a bigger player transfer budget just isn’t happening. So frustrating

Wouldnt you have been better holding off on that statement until the window closes at the end of August R44GET lol.Its only the start of june so right now we havnt a clue what will happen between now and then.

Lol the window isn’t even open yet & the woe is me club are already out. Who knows what might happen, we could sign every single player who is targeted, but of course that would mean that they are other clubs rejects or 2nd rate because no one else wanted them. Paid too much or not enough, the club are trying to do it on the cheap again lol

Why don’t we sign COSTA on loan till January and then he can go to Athletico Madrid which is his desired Club as I expect their transfer embargo will be lifted then. we can then have a pick of Athletico players in exchange. WIN WIN and I am sure Costa would go for it.
Hope we IANACHO and KRUZ in the meantime. COYI
