West Ham are tonight working fast with Maxi Gomez’s agents to steal the player from under the noses of Valencia.
The Celta Vito striker is represented by one of the biggest representation group’s in the world – Stellar – who look after the player’s interests.
And although – as reported earlier – Valencia believe they are close to getting the player, the Hammers are confident they can get things sorted in their favour.
However, the big snag may be for the Irons that Gomez has consistently declared that he wants to remain in Spain.
Stellar – headed by legendary agent Jonathon Barnett – have been looking after the player for some time and have worked with West Ham on various deals.
And with the Hammers set to stage a £36 million straight cash offer for the 22-year-old as they bid to close the £22.5 million Marko Arnautovic sale to China, they still hold hopes they will get their man.
