West Ham have made a new €25m bid for an unnamed striker last night and the board await an answer from his parent club this morning.
The name of the player isn’t being released until the deal is successful to avoid alerting other clubs into making late bids.
Last week the Hammers failed with €25m bids for Cologne’s Anthony Modeste and Villarreal’s Cedric Bakambu. They have since discontinued their interest in the pair when they were quoted ridiculous prices which in the case of Modeste was €40m for a 29-year-old.
A senior source told Claret and Hugh: “We are trying to sign players. It’s a very difficult market. We put in another 25m euro bid tonight.”
So if we’ve offered 25 million euros that obviously means he’s not from the premier league, so my bets on probably max kruse or someone like that not getting my hopes up to much with this one

From that image I can conclude that he is minging, his legs have gone and that he is another clubs useless reject. Sullivan has bid £25M but he is worth £30M because Sullivan doesn’t really want to spend money and thus Everton will buy him. Also it is probably Carlton Cole. Finally Sullivan’s negotiating skills are crap so he will offering the player half the wages he wants. Correct me if im wrong but we still have debts to pay off and still have pay day loans we used/use.One season at the new gaff was not going to clear all debts.
Do some of you want a continual cycle of debt or how about this for an idea,we get the club on a sound financial footing with little to no debt.
There is a bigger picture than transfer money though there seems to be a belief all monies go to transfer budgets.Its total and utter ****.
There should be 43 million income from the sale of UP that should make a sizeable dent in the debt, its a fair point though Ben.
I’m from the school of Radia where I don’t worry about stuff like that. I also believe nothing till the new guy is wearing the shirt. Even then I check for photoshopping! I do believe what Sean says below, we WILL spend between £60/80M and hopefully we will get lucky and get good players in that will make us top 6 challengers. The owners are very smart business men, despite what the moaners say, and they will make sure the company accounts are where they need to be at the end of the year. Worrying about anything else is futile. I have faith that our squad will be a strong one by the end of august. Right I’m done, see ya things to see people to do.

I have learnt to give no time to the rant and ragers.I prefer to have a reasoned conversation with Hammers fans down my local who can talk things through sensibly without wanting to burst a blood vessel over gossip and things they make up lol
