Hammers now look committed to midfielder

|

Manuel Pellegrini remains desperately keen that Samir Nasri should get a six month contract with the club at the end of the month.

The former Manchester City player’s ban on a drug related incident comes to an end on January 1 and he will become available for action immediately afterwards.

He has been training with the club for several weeks as he bids to get up to full fitness. Now it seems the club is becoming committed to offering him the short term deal with a year’s option attached.

With Jack Wilshere again injured and Manu Lanzini unlikely to return until next season, the Nasri signing makes good sense but fitness is the key.

We were told by our regular source on the phone earlier that the player is slowly getting up to the required level and that the backroom staff are keen that he should get his chance which now looks likely to happen.

This would be a great bit of business, when match fit he is a great player, bit of a maverick , but played his best under Pelle. If i’m honest, I never thought that Snoddy would become one of our more important players, and also at 31 is probably playing his best ever football. Pelle, imo has a way of bringing youth back to the over 30’s. ZABA is a great example. Upwards an onwards COYI

Hope it works out.We love a maverick, game changer at West Ham.He was class at Arsenal and Man City and Pelle is the man to find it.As the saying goes form is temporary and class is permanent.

Yes must be worth a 6 month deal . We are desperate for quality in midfield .

Nasri at his best has composure in front of goal can make runs like Lanzini beyond the defenders and can play a pass, I think on a 6 month deal with an option we should definitely back Pelle’s judgement, hopefully we can get 2 or 3 in, if Carroll goes then Batigol should also be high on the list.

I think it was always Pelligrini’s aim to get Nasri up and running from day one . Very astute is our Pelle . If he can get himself fully fit and is offered a contract we could have a really good player to add to our squad . Game time and gelling in will the key but as we already know after only a brief time with MP The omens are good . We always seem to top the Premiership injury list , but this season has reached rediculous heights . Massive game tonight . Everyone needs to shine . From 6’4” all the way down to 5’10” .
