Jurgen Klopp remains a highly unlikely managerial arrival at West Ham as reported by ClaretandHugh last Saturday!
The Mirror has today reported categorically that he has turned us down although there is no formal confirmation from the club or Klopp himself.
The Mirror also reports – as has been repeated many times – that Sam Allardyce is still set to be axed at the end of the season.
Klopp would have been the Number One choice head and shoulders above anyone else but we were toldsoon after being informed he had been approached that it was a big “longshot.”
We reported a source as telling us: “The owners love him. It would be a massive coup but our chances, given the competition are about 33/1.”
Meanwhile the Mirror’s Darren Lewis reports “His (Klopp’s) decision to reject the east Londoners, who were well aware that they had only an outside chance of landing him, has not altered the position regarding Allardyce.
“Big Sam remains set for the exit door at Upton Park because of his inability to arrest West Ham’s run of just one win from their last 11 League games.
“The club would have been prepared to keep him had results and performances been better over that period.
There are also concerns that the players are no longer performing for Allardyce – despite their public claims that they want him to stay – following of the uncertainty surrounding his position.”
I’m not surprised, perhaps he read the poll and saw 100% didn’t vote him
Whambam Klopp is not in the poll just because His name came out after the poll started… Probably he would have won… 😉

Wenger ( my choice) didn’t get any votes either, ok, I know everyone linked by everyone can’t be on the list but (and as the one who originally suggested the idea of a ‘next manager poll) I did say you need an ‘other’ vote which gives everyone an option of voting someone not named on the list
I can see it now, our owners attempt to try and entice several managers who they know will make the fans happy. All will turn us down and we will be left with Sam Allardyce with our owners claiming “well we did try, but everything went wrong, we could not agree terms with said managers”
I really do fear we will be stuck with Sam for another 2 years. Someone please tell me my fears are completely wrong.

One: It’s good to read that Allardyce will be definitely gone.
Two: So Klopp prefers Man U or Liverpool ? **** a brick, I didn’t quite expect that from him…LOL
But what happens if neither of the above mentioned has a vacancy for Klopp in the near future ? Klopp would have bit a great fit and a fantastic choice, but no point crying in our beers (or table waters, apple juices or gin tonics).
Move on to the other targets and find one who embraces West Ham and is able to strike up an instant bond with the West Ham faithful. I can see Bilic doing that.
