Lanzini sends emotional message

|

Manu Lanzini has issued an emotional message following the ruptured cruciate  injury which has wrecked his World Cup dream and looks set to see him miss a season of his Hammers career.

The midfielder – speaking on Instagram – spoke of the pain he is feeling after seeing his childhood Woeld Cup dream shattered.

He said: “This publication is to tell you that there is more suffering and pain that I feel for what happened to me, for being so close to fulfilling the dream I dreamed of as a kid as it was to play a World Cup, not being able to do it.

“Beyond all this, I am very grateful to you for having sent me so nice messages of support, affection and good energies.

“Thank my family that they always see a positive side to this and that makes me very well and for restraining me.

“I also want to thank my colleagues who were in charge of doing everything possible to make me feel good and not to spend such a painful day.

“Also send them many strengths and hopefully they can achieve the goal was raised from the beginning. All together for a dream.

I hope he recovers soon, mentally and physically from the injury. However, why did Lanzini return to play too quickly from the cruciate injury that he had during the season. I remember he was out injured and Moyes or somebody saying he’s ok if he runs in a straight line but he can’t twist and turn. That’s because it’s the sudden change of direction, twisting and turning that causes the cruciate ligament injury. So Lanzini had a problem and the medical team knew it. Gary Lewin has now been sacked. Obviously Lanzini was desperate to play for his country in the World Cup. I think for that reason he came back too early from injury and put undue stress on an injury that needed to be rested. I think the medical team should have known he was at risk. Once he was with Argentina was they fully aware of his medical and injury history?
