Liverpool fans in for rude awakening at London Stadium

|

Liverpool fans have openly bragged how easy it is to buy tickets in the West Ham home end of the London Stadium for their Premier League game against the Hammers on Wednesday 29th January.

The game went on general sale today and Liverpool fans have flooded fans forums telling others they just need to register on West Ham’s ticketing website and buy a ticket.

Many Reds have taken to social media using their real names to boast the sections, rows and even seat numbers they have bought tickets in but they will soon be in for a rude awakening.

West Ham’s ticket office has vowed to cancel any tickets that have been sold to Liverpool supporters in the Hammers home end.

Although the club does carry out some address checks to prevent potential abuse it is an impossible task to vet all supporters whether they are a Liverpool or West Ham supporter solely from an address. With thousands of Liverpool supporters living in London, the issue is further compounded in spotting away fans buying tickets in home sections.

As well as cancelling any tickets from reports from social media the club together with the Stadium operator has vowed to reject entry to any supporter wearing Liverpool branded clothing or shirts attempting to access a home areas on the evening game as well as ejecting any Liverpool supporter found or reported to stewards in the home end who has evaded them.

The sensible away fan in the home end keeps quiet. The divs on social media need to shut up.

  • Leo says:

This has to be a joke. No wonder why West Ham is a joke of a club.

A fine, positive contribution at the beginning of the day. Give it a rest and take your pointless negativity elsewhere. This happens at every club up and down the land. Joke of a comment.

Do hope we give the horrid scouse gits a right good tonking

  • James Ford says:

Surely they’re not cancelling tickets Liverpool fans have for the Hammers away end?!?! Proof reading needed me thinks, that’s where they’re supposed to go.

  • Brutal Bob says:

Hmmmm ya reckon . They get pulled out of seats then relocated somewhere else, bloody liberty , two bob stewards

  • Dave says:

Surprised they are not offered to the mythical waiting list at a small discount.
Better than having lots of aggro.

  • Urna says:

It’s not unusual to hear a Liverpool fan being labelled a birdbrain. Now, it is confirmed.

I saw a a notice once to text 07860404069 if anyone saw trouble in the ground ..

  • George Green says:

I look forward to seeing stewards ejecting those away fans as they certainly haven’t in the past including Arsenal fans wearing colours last month.

Also I was at the arsenal game at our place and saw 3 seperate arsenal fans get ejected from the home stand so they do take them out if they are made aware. If nothing else for their own safety.

  • Daniel Grindy says:

Mixed feelings on this. Ive taken my brother whos a spurs fan to WHL to watch west ham spuds in their end. Obviously out of respect and fear of getting a hiding I didnt wear claret but my point is, not everyone in a family supports the same team, but they may still want to enjoy a game together.

  • Drew says:

Hope they deal with them properly if they are in our end. At the Spurs game a few weeks ago, there were 3 Danish Spurs fans in the STBU (224) and it took forever to get security to move them, how they were not clumped I’ll never know
