Dear Emerson Palmieri
I am writing to apologise, for doubting you as a player.
Your recent form has been a real positive for the Irons, although you have to admit you did not get off to the best of starts.
Even our ashen faced Supremo was pleased with your performance against Chelsea on Saturday, and also your last few displays in fact.
You have given us a totally different outlet to what we usually have when Aaron Cresswell plays down the left hand flank.
Not deriding dear old Aaron but you have far more pace than him and you offer us much more defensive solidarity and potency going forward as well.
You defended really well against your former club Chelsea at the London Stadium yesterday and kept the normally busy Noni Madueke quiet all game.
You look like a completely different player to the one who struggled during the first few months of your time with West Ham.
It just goes to show what regular game-time can do for a player. You are clearly in a rhythm now for West Ham, and the exciting thing is that you can still get a lot better.
Yours sincerely
Simon Leyland
Good point about regular game time I think a few of them would benefit from that.
