Moyes backs new signing, insists more to come

|

David Moyes has backed Gianluca Scamacca to keep scoring goals in the Premier League after netting the winner against Anderlecht on Thursday.

The Hammers striker came off the bench in what was a very tight encounter in Belgium.

He was sent through on goal by Lucas Paqueta and, in a tight angle, managed to swivel and fire the ball into the bottom corner.

It was a superb finish in a difficult game for the Irons and it comes on the back of the Italy international’s goal against Wolves at the weekend.

It feels very likely, then, that Scamacca will come in to start against Fulham this weekend and Moyes has been mightily impressed with the form shown by the new boy, and believes there is plenty more to come.

Speaking ahead of the London derby this weekend, Moyes said, as per The Independent“He is 23, a young Italian striker in the Premier League and I think he is coming along really well.

“His goals give you confidence, the centre-forwards will tell you that. His form is getting better all round.

Fulham have been in decent form this season and are currently eighth in the Premier League.
