Well, it seems only yesterday we played our last game of the season at Brighton and here we are four days away from our first pre season game ahead of the new season.
Friday night sees the Hammers in Switzerland to play Servette and hopefully the manager will be giving a few youngsters the chance to show what they’ve got!
They should get their chance with the likes of Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen having not yet linked up with the squad but there are plenty of familiar faces out in Evian including the likes of Michail Antonio, Aaron Cresswell and Said Benrahma per Hammers News. And there are also rated prospects like 20-year-old duo Armstrong Okoflex and Pierre Ekwah Elimby taking part in first-team training as well.
Having started their pre season training at St Andrews the lads are now in France before travelling to Switzerland for their opening game.
After seeing Masuaku arriving at Rush Green and then a picture the previous week of him going to Scotland I haven’t seen one picture of him involved. Is he injured or waiting to join another team. Hopefully the latter.
I expect starting line up of.
Fabianski
Ashby Zouma Dawson Cresswell
Coventry Fornals
Benrhama Lanzini Okoflex
Antonio
Haven’t seen Ben Johnson.
I take it he is away as he played for England u21’s up until mid June
Well the Hammers have little option but to give the youngsters a go. After all, there’s precious little else to work with, seeing as many players have departed and only one new player has come in. What the hell is going on at the club? Maybe I already know the answer. Nothing!
