Moyes left raging as he fumes at ref

|

David Moyes was left absolutely fuming after Maxwel Cornet’s late equaliser against Chelsea was inexplicably ruled out by VAR.

The Hammers had gone from 1-0 up, thanks to Mikey Antonio’s goal, to 2-1 down, as Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz scored.

But Cornet hit back just seconds after the German’s goal.

Reece James sent a woeful header back to his goalkeeper and Jarrod Bowen pounced, but Edouard Mendy sprinted out to him and could only get a palm to the ball. It broke to Cornet and he scored.

But VAR somehow decided that Bowen had fouled Mendy and that led to Moyes angrily confronting referee Andy Madley at full-time in a video posted by Football Daily on Twitter.

Further to that, TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook reported that Moyes actually went into the referee’s room and shouted expletives towards the official, having seen the Hammers lose out on a point right at the death.

He wrote on Twitter: “David Moyes has just angrily confronted Andrew Madley in the referee’s room. Safe to say he is very, very unhappy about the decision to chalk off late #WHUFC equaliser. Lots of expletives.”

Don’t mind getting best by a better side but by a **** decision like THAT, a keeper goes to ground of course there is always going to be a collision
