New hope for forgotten Hammers striker

|

Jonathon Callieri could well be told he is wanted at the London Stadium at the end of the season.

Many had seen it as a foregone conclusion the striker would be on his way at the end of the campaign but manager Slaven Bilic still believes he may have a future at the club.

The South American striker has barely been seen since arriving but we were told today the boss still “fancies him” and has deliberately held off making a quick  decision on the 23 year old Argentine.

However, two players who will definitely be on their way are Alvaro Arbeola and  Havard Nortveidt – assuming the club can find buyers for the latter.

Nortveidt has been a bitter disappointment and will be allowed to move on whilst Arbeola joined on a one year contract but has featured in only four games amid rumours that he had an early fall-out with the manager.

Agree 100%. This season has been one cluster mess with players playing all over the place. It certainly wasn’t a good time to bring new players in. We should have pushed a few players through like Reece burke and Jack Culen and Samuelson and saved the dough for next season to invest big!

Nordtveit has not performed well this season, I will agree to that. However, it’s quite a shame buying in a player who performed well in Bundesliga for years only to send him off without allowing him a single game in his natural position (central mid / defensive anchor), wouldn’t you guys agree?

It would be like judging Antonio on his defensive contribution as RB (only) to put it in perspective.
