Penalty answer is right there

West Ham’s penalty woes can be fixed by allowing Gianluca Scamacca to take them.

The Hammers have struggled to hit the back of the net thus far this season and missed a penalty against Liverpool, when Jarrod Bowen saw his kick saved by Alisson Becker.

David Moyes admits that he could look to change up who takes spot-kicks for the Irons, and Scamacca is the man to do it.

He has taken six penalties in his career, which may not be the greatest sample size, but he has never missed.

Three of those penalties took place in youth football, but he has also scored all three penalties he has taken in Serie A.

Now that we have a proper striker who can step up from 12 yards, it is time to entrust him with the chance to put the ball in the net from the spot.

Now that Mark Noble has hung up his boots, Scamacca is the penalty answer.

Striker should always be the penalty taker. Adds to their goal tally, boosts their confidence especially when going through a barren spell in front of goal.

Agree if possible have your main striker on pens. Keeps them sharp and ticking over on numbers. Harry Kane is the example.
