Earlier this week Hugh and Sean wrote two opposing blogs about priorities for the seven remaining games before the end of the Premier League season.
Hugh made the case that with nothing to play for this season Manuel Pellegrini should take the oppotunity to blood some more youngsters to give them a taste of the Premier League.
Sean took a completely different view by saying in his blog that every league position was worth £1.9m and we needed all the extra revenue we can muster to spend in the summer with a low transfer budget forecast.
Today we ask you to decide in Sunday’s Claret and Hugh poll which decision you would take if you were West Ham’s manager.
Why can’t you do both?
And I hate it when people say we have nothing to fight for. We have everything to fight for, if we want to be taken seriously and grow as a team. You don’t give up, you play to win every game until the end of the season. Not to mention we technically are still playing to qualify for Europe. It will be extremely difficult, but it’s still possible.
No reason why you have to play all the kids at once. I would agree if we had nothing to play for but currently we have because it’s worth going for 7th place even if it’s unlikely. And I don’t want people saying it’s the kids fault if we don’t finish as high as they would have wanted. Give the kids a go sparingly at the right time I say. Like Ben Johnson had his turn against city. Plenty of time for these players to shine and impress pre season if they’ve really got anything about them.
