Report: Rice’s only summer option revealed

|

Declan Rice only has one option this summer if he is to leave West Ham: Manchester United.

ESPN reports that there is real interest from the Old Trafford club in terms of securing the signature of the England international.

We have reported previously that Rice has come to an agreement with the Irons over his future and is set to remain at the club this summer, before potentially moving on at the end of next season. There is even a suggestion that he could sign a new contract with a release clause included.

The new report claims that United are perhaps the only suitor this summer, with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool all focused on other targets.

He would cost well in excess of £100m, and United want to secure Rice’s signature in a bid to prove their ability to bring in the best possible targets.

However, there is a very real chance that Rice will reject a move to Old Trafford due to his desire to challenge for trophies immediately.
