Let’s get this straight as Stuart Pearce did earlier today in no uncertain terms!
Talk of the town Tomas Soucek is going nowhere despite lots of chat about European giants giving him the eye along of course with Manchester United.
Always Manchester United!
The reason for this is that in a quite remarkable season the whole context of West Ham United has changed. Suddenly we are a big Premier League club and getting bigger.
Europe in some form probably looks a 60 or 70 per cent certainty with the Champions League hovering around the even money mark.
Tomas Soucek has a contract until 2024 and with Europe looming he will not want to be a part of anything other than this club next season and if we continue to progress under David Moyes beyond that, why wouldn’t he stay?
Last summer and beyond Declan was on his way – he’s still here, captain, fully fledged international and with a contract until 2024 and a year’s option attached.
Things have never been more stable and looking better and although even individuals within the Hammers transfer gossip business are keen to stoke the chat up they could leave amazingly neither of them are going anywhere.
Our picture above shows David and Jack Sullivan with the Libor Sečka the Ambassador of the Czech Republic . I can’t remember many clubs having that sort of relationship with such dignitaries.
We also have a close and blossoming relationship with Sparta Prague which could yet produce more and more fruit so let’s big ourselves up a bit.
We’re on our way at last and there’s nobody inside this club ready to throw that all away with a few quick sales.
No masks or social distancing in that photo!!!!
Even money for a place in a european competition? Not so sure but hope you’re right.
Isn’t it Slavia Prague? Where Tomas and Vlad joined from?
It has to be Slavia Prague for sure! Nothing against but it is like mistaken Westham with Arsenal, one city, different club (competitive derby rivality).
