Sack Moyes now while there’s some hope left

|

Match verdict By Hughie Southon

Sack him now …tonight – he’s blown it and is clueless!

First things first. This is the man who said a few months ago he would build a young energetic team and tonight fielded a back four of – on average – just under 34 years of age.

This is the man who decided that he would spend money on the likes of Emerson and Paqueta – oh only £50 million by the way – and this is the man who has now presided over five defeats on the trot this season and managed two wins from the last ten in 21/22.

This is also the man who watches his team pass sideways and backwards for ages on end even when the are 0-2 down before making the usual 60th minute or so substitution and another a few minutes from the end.

It’s always a case of too little too late from a bloke who really is showing over and over again that he simply hasn’t a clue how he is going to stop the rot.

Every manager knows how to play against this bloke’s teams – they may even smile when they see that he is the next one up.

Tonight we were useless and although there was plenty of stuff thrown into the box there was no finishing power whatsoever. Defensively? Oh no let’s not go there.

When Craig Dawson is the main goal threat you know there is a lot wrong whilst Scamacca doesn’t look worth thirty bob never mind £3o million and Paquetta has shown he really ain’t up for it.

It’s all down to the man Moyes and enough truly is enough. Sack him tonight or tomorrow morning whilst there is a little hope left for this season.

We can’t score a goal and in a must win game, we go with a back 5 all aged over 30.A true dinosaur whose time has gone. Sullivan better get busy and call him into the office soon or he will find his sale price in tatters.

And send that other clown warbutten packing too. Has made the situation worse since he arrived..

It’s because he isn’t inspiring them. How can Paqueta be so good for Brasil yet manage to misplace 90% of his passes last night. He’s meant to be our new talisman. I’ve said it time and again Benrahma is currently our best player and Dave has taken every opportunity to have a dig at him. His man management skills are terrible and his tactics are transparent.

We should go for Big Ange at Celtic, he would be the tonic for this team. He has won wherever he has gone.

    And yes sack Moyes yesterday

Can’t add to any of these comments all spot on. If c and h has a close ear to sully let him know next will be the board to get the abuse. So Mr sullivan before your lose all the players and get relegated and lose selling the club too. Get poch in pay the money and get moyes and all that coward staff moyes works with out too. New broom .

Yes it has to be thank you and goodbye today. Any delay threatens our premier status now.

The players also need to take responsibility, they are not working hard enough and certainly not giving it their all . Yes Moyes seems clueless but the players are kissing me off too . Wake up everyone!

  • johnham1 says:

The players are not good enough, signings like Kehrer, emerson, players like Soucek, cresswell, bowen and antonio. Moyes signed some of these and has refused to drop those players out of form. His treatment of Fornals is sackable in its own right. So dont deflect this problem away from Moyes and on to the players. Moyes is paid to put the best players on the pitch and he has not been doing that. He is the problem.

The thing about getting rid of something Important and time critical is to have its replacement ready to go. This applies all the way from fridges to football managers.
So why is it in football that we get the sacking first, then the speculation, and only then the new broom.
Lets hope it knows how to sweep when it comes to a new and messy floor.
