MarkoArnautovic_3542583k-large_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqqVzuuqpFlyLIwiB6NTmJwfSVWeZ_vEN7c6bHu2jJnT8The Daily Mirror’s Darren Lewis claims that West Ham have had a fresh bid worth £17million rejected by Stoke for striker Marko Arnautovic.

The 28-year-old joined the Potters from Werder Bremen four seasons ago for just £2 million. But Stoke want as much as £25million for him the well-connected journolist. claims. West Ham returned with a renewed offer after having an initial bid of £15m turned down.

Arnautovic has already handed a transfer request earlier this week after the first bid failed.

Meanwhile, the Telegraph claims that Stoke City have rejected an improved bid of around £20million from West Ham for Marko Arnautovic.

They say West Ham returned with a second offer for the Austria international today but it was turned down by the Stoke hierarchy, who are adopting a stubborn stance as they bid to keep one of their star players. The broadsheet claims West Ham will have to pay a substantial fee if they are to prise the 28-year-old away from the bet365 Stadium. Arnautovic has three years remaining on his £75,000 a week contract.

Mark Hughes, the manager, insisted this week that his club hold the advantage and said that Arnautovic should consider staying at Stoke for the good of his career.

Arnautovic is a no nonsense player and could take a whole load of pressure off AC, the problem that AC has had has been the constant battering over the seasons since he has been here, he is a physical player and being the only target man gets an awful lot of stick off defenders, whack it upfield you know for sure A C will challenge for it whether there be 1,2 or 3 defenders against him, 90 mins of this treatment is too much for anyone, impact sub for 2nd half or last 30 would possibly see him last the season plus 10-15 goals. Would also love to witness an attacking midfield that are in tune with each other, swapping attacking positions and pulling defences all oover the place. There is a lot of criticism for the owners and the move, did anyone think that 2 years down the line you would be paying double for an adequate player, minimum 20mil and the players we would like are 60mil +, ok for the Chinese Russian Arab and American owned clubs, who can and are slowly but surely pushing the likes of ourselves further down the pecking order, it is happening in all European countries. If all teams were on the same footing the likes of Bale would have an asking price of probably 400mil, there will always be the have and have nots. Would prefer trolling the lower divisions for players who possibly could make it on starter wages, Vardy is the standout player from this system.

No higher than £20m please,he’s not worth that sort of money and we could get someone better for that sort of money if Bilic and Sullivan get their fingers out.

I would pay £20 million for Arnie. In this ridiculously inflated market you need too pay that sort of money.Attacking players prices are going through the roof and we need too accept that.

  • TRB says:

Tell Stoke where to go. He’s really not worth more than £20m.

  • Vic says:

Im sorry but im really staggered sometimes to read what experts we have on players valuations.Do you all watch these players through the whole season because personally i watch West Ham and other players like Gray or Arnie half a dozen to a dozen times a year maximum.
But you seem too know the valuation of other clubs players as if you are scouts watching them all season.Jesus.

Over £20m like say now £25m no. Go for Tadic for prob £13m but a striker is most concern spending all this money on a good winger and would like him here maybe offer And as make way.
But Chicarito at £13m USE the money saved for he is worth £25m to lay is wages in sign on Bonus and weekly. 39 goals in 76 games we need the most. And of can get Arnje for £20m maybe but not £25m Tadic is a good option. Like Helder Costa too
