Three Hammers that could return next month

|

Angelo Obonna is now free of his medical protective boot and has started light training in the gym as he recovers from an ankle injury he suffered four weeks ago on 10th February against Manchester United in the fifth round of the FA cup.

The centre back has a special training programme to get match fit within the next four to six weeks meaning the 32-year-old should be available for selection again sometime in April.

Arthur Masuaku is training on the grass while he recovers from his knee operation, David Moyes had originally hoped his 28-year-old left-sided player would return in March but it now appears a mid-April is a more realistic outcome.

Andriy Yarmolenko who suffered from a knee ligament injury in the same FA Cup game against Manchester United has made an unexpected early return to training on grass. Many had written him off for the season but it now appears a return to match fitness in April could now be possible.

Good news Masuaku has surprisingly been a big miss in the 352 formation, although Johnson is good it’s not his natural side and he is not so good at protecting the ball and breaking the lines.
