Sky Bet have installed Manuel Pellegrini as their 11/10 favourite to become the next West Ham manager despite him remaining in China and their season not finishing until March.
Paulo Fonseca is the new second favourite at 9/4 after his public interview with David Sullivan was revealed by the Daily Mail yesterday.
Rafael Benitez is 8/1 although one gets a feeling he is using West Ham to get a better deal with Newcastle. He earns £6.5m per year and is holding out for a £8m per year to stay with the Magpies.
David Moyes is 6/1 with Skybet although he was 10/1 earlier tonight. He is said to have a 25% chance with a scheduled interview next week.
Marco Silva is also 10/1 and has previously been on the board’s managerial shortlist
Unai Emery is now 12/1 although he was 20/1 earlier this evening. He is expected to have an interview
Others include Slavisa Jokanovic 18/1 Carlo Ancelotti, Claudio Ranieri, Eddie Howe, Louis Van Gaal, Sean Dyche are all 20/1
Alan Pardew, Brendan Rodgers and David Wagner are all 25/1
Let’s get real here folks ? All these big names being interviewed or whatever? Its season ticket renewal time !!! They might be talking to some well known coaches but I bet thats only what there doing to draw Joe public to renew early ?? We’ll see on June the first ?? And I’m gonna say with “hand on heart ” don’t be too disappointed who we get ? (Some times it’s better dealing with the devil you know) if you get my jeist 😊😊
Let’s get real if this board employ moyes again they will be committing suicide. The fans are already decided that moyes takes us nowhere and couldn’t be trusted with any cash especially now the board has been sussed out and they have to spend big or sell up which they don’t want until the tax is less for them. As for golds words saying about moyes his just a clown forgetting he brought his pal in avram grant. Short memory eh.
What is the point of hiring someone to ‘take the club forward’ when it is at least 2 years stability that is required.
Unless a club is state-owned, oligarch-owned or franchise-owner-owned, it is fighting for survival in the Premier League. That applies to the other 14 or so clubs.
They, in turn, all think they deserve more than they get.
Other than the top few who can afford 2+ top class players, the rest have 1, if they are lucky.
That is the reality and hardly a recipe for ‘going forward’…………….
Unless you know of a spare billionaire laying around……..
So, Moyes gone and a new appointment within 10 days to take the club forward, in accordance with the club’s aspirations.
My view is learn to walk before you try to run………stability before emotional aspirations.
Sullivan’s statement is a regurgitation of the We’re All Off to the Olympic Stadium speech.
We All Have A Dream…………..
