Window opens and one Iron may move on

|

By Hughie Southon

Vladimir Coufal’s future seems to still be very much up in the air as  the January transfer window opens today.

The Czech defender – along it has to be said with Tomas Soucek – has been nothing like the player we saw in his first season.

And he made it clear during the international break that he was unhappy with the  minutes  he has been getting this season.

And he also made it clear that it would need – and was – being sorted out and is clearly one to keep an eye on in a window which manager David Moyes has described as likely to be quiet.

With the injuries we are suffering at the moment there is no big desire to let anybody leave but Coufal has just six months left on his current deal although a two year option is attached.

With only Kehrer and  Johnson available beyond Coufal in the right back position it would seem that Moyes would need another option should the Czech be allowed to move on.

The board need to stop this ridiculous confusion. Moyes is a fool, Coufal is our best RB, move Johnson or Kehrer on but not Coufal. Board need to stop these crazy decisions if this is true as Moyes will end up doing more harm than good. We need a minimum of 3 signings in the window, a top LB, a striker to compliment Scamacca who has power and pace and a new young CB – go back in for Milenlovic from Fiorentina The players I would sell this window if it were me would be Kehrer, Emerson, Vlasic and Masuaka. They are all not suited to the PL.

Spot on as usual johnham. Moyes must go as the board will then be taking the flak instead of moyes. And the board can’t give moyes a penny more to spend let the new coach have a go to save us . Poch pls.
