A great window…now let’s all get down to the stadium COYI

It will have been a very good window by this time tomorrow night I reckon!

As I wrote two or three nights ago I always felt a striker would arrive and that should happen in the morning which means we now have a very well rounded squad with the additional bonus of a young central defender.

How good these two new boys are gonna be remains to be seen but the key words of course are “Trust Pelle” as we head into a season of rich promise.

The summer window is a wonderful excuse for temper tantrums, rampant rage and fans handing managers the benefit of their limited knowledge.

But thankfully after the wicked rage of a couple of years ago we are now a far more stable club and that started when the board made the Pellegrini appointment.

They deserve enormous credit for he and the promised director of football Mario Husillos have changed the West Ham landscape.

Leicester City and Wolves are seen as the sort of company with which we will be competing but personally I think it could be even better than that.

Our midfield is to die for and the addition of marquee signing Seb Haller, and almost definitely Albian Ajeti, has given us a club of big potential which I reckon could even end up in the top six this season.

There will always be those who wanna put the knife in and in these days of social media it’s easier than it’s ever been but personally anyone who tells me this club hasn’t advanced needs to go get a life.

Whats so great too is that the manager resisted the urge to bring in one or two has beens, loans and free signings  and instead invested in youth thus bringing the age range down even further.

There’a an optimism, hope and genuine excitement sweeping through the east end of London right now and it needs to be enjoyed after the miserable years we have had to endure.

Personally I’m loving it and can’t wait to sit down in Bobby Moore Upper on Saturday afternoon.

All the moaning through this transfer window looks like it’s all been moaning from the usual negative supporters because it looks like we’ve made some really good signings with a view to the future for West Ham & there still could be a surprise or two on the last day as well so I think it’s time to say in Pellegrini, Husillos & the Board we trust & COYI…⚒⚒⚒⚒

I hope you have a great time tomorrow, Hugh. Thanks to yourself and Sean for the excellent coverage of all the stories and rumours over the close season – always entertaining and never dull. Top close season story has to be MP enjoying fish and chips in Brixham, of course … Never mind the pollacks, the season’s about to start! COYI.

Definitely the most optimistic I have felt since the mid eighties, most of that I put down to the manager, Leicester and Everton as well as some other clubs may have spent bigger but MP with Husillos seem to be unearthing gems which can be polished further. In its own style imho that is the West Ham way, young players with flair and a bit of grit improving week on week in front of us, COYI !!!

Got striker cover in which was very needed. Attacking midfield is the best I can remember. Still think we are short in defensive midfield.. again. Lb position is a weak spot still.
Hope Arthur and cress can improve this season and fab stays fit.
