Many congratulations to a Hammers-mad couple who tied the knot recently.

They pair promised to love, honour and obey but listening to the choice of music ClaretandHugh wonders to what and to whom – obviously to each other but probably also the mighty Hammers.

    My best friend at school and myself were married in July and October 1973 (not to each other, you understand) – he in Scotland and me in Southend. Most people at my wedding appreciated the significance of having Sir Bob on our cake, but the Scots were a bit bemused – especially when a group of Sassenachs started singing Bubbles.
