Give West Ham the credit

It is about time football pundits and the media at large gave West Ham credit for what they have achieved this season.

Large parts of the media love to knock West Ham when they are down or there is a bad news story but they seem reluctant to pat them on the back and say well done.

Even match of the day pundits seem to struggle to anything more than a couple of words before concentrating on describing the woes on the major teams we have beaten.

Leicester City on the other hand seem to get all the praise and the credit from the same people. While there is no doubt Leicester have also had a great start to the season and remain the only ‘top six’ to beat us this season it could be argued that our opposition has been much stronger than their’s. Leicester’s wins have come against a poor Sunderland, Villa, Norwich and Palace in addition to ourselves.

Would it hurtl the media to pat West Ham on the back occasionally and say well done and give credit where it is due?

  1. Hate to say it, but much more of this and we’re going to start sounding like… well people from Bermondsy

  2. Bermondsey

  3. I think you already answered you’re own question Hugh !!!
Its blatantly obvious they have a problem with us , its a denial that we have a west ham way
And we won the world cup !!!!
I’ve said it before and I will say it again !
Envy is a sad mans disease and there are a lot of sad people out there, only now they have the OS to gripe about now too.
Plus of course we have proved every pundit wrong so far this season and they are not man enough to admit it .
When we lose a game , and we will !! The cockroaches will be cuing up to pounce !!!
**** em all !!!!! Were west ham utd , who won the world cup the west ham way,

  4. Hate to say it but if we keep on we will sound like a dimwit,
Does Lawerson use the pen name Doucebag they seem similar when you read them
Some pundits are keeping quiet at the moment like Cottee still sitting on the fence As we might just stay up,
Wonder how many we will loose by this week dimwit

  5. …and putting the two first 11s together, who would we want in our squad?

    Vardy and Mahrez.

  6. Mahrez would not put Vardy before Sakho or Carroll,

  7. Let’s admit it, we are in as much shock at beating the big clubs as the pundits are but the difference is we are not only welcoming it but by nature are accepting it, let’s enjoy it COYI

  8. We have probably had the toughest start to the season than any other club looking at that lot, I am loving how we are playing and loving the fact that the results are also going our way, THE WEST HAM WAY. I think the only reason we are not getting the credit we deserve is that it would be the media darlings going against the all powerful safe pair of hands that is BFS, to praise us would be openly admitting that he was wrong in his assessment of not only us deluded fans but also the fact that you can go up against the big boys away and actually give it a go rather than concede before a ball is even kicked. The pillock with the blonde ponytail who’s name I can’t bring myself to type has been rather quiet with his admission of being wrong over his “Careful what you wish for” quote. Long may this wonderful run continue and the football flow as much as the beer. COYI

  9. Both sides deserve great credit, it is true that the West Ham knockers in the media and especially on MOTD have been reluctantly giving us a (little) credit, who cares though not many respect their biased opinions. If we keep playing the way we are playing and if we start to have a win record that also incorporates the the lower in the league teams then we will continue to get more recognition, its a slow process turning public opinion around, next season and perhaps the one after also might prove a challenge with the rumblings over our great deal at the OS but if we play a great brand of attacking football neutrals as well as us will enjoy watching us play and we can get back to where we were before the media dragged us through the mud due to some dodgy deals done by Duxberry etc.
